The Young Professionals Exhibition & Competition 2026 (YPEC 2026), organized by The IET Hong Kong Younger Members Section (YMS), was successfully held on 19 July 2026 at Yatsumoto International Academic Park (YIA), The Chinese University of Hong Kong. ⋅
YPEC is an annual engineering project exhibition and presentation competition that provides a valuable platform for younger engineers and students to showcase their innovative ideas, exchange insights with peers and professionals, and gain exposure to the academic and engineering communities. This year’s event brought together 82 teams, over 300 participants, and 32 judges across various competition sections, reflecting the strong enthusiasm of young talents in advancing engineering innovation.
Under the theme”Empact”, YPEC 2026 encouraged participants to explore how innovative engineering solutions can address real-world needs and create positive impact. Through project presentations, exhibitions, professional adjudication and networking opportunities, the event fostered knowledge transfer among industry, academia, tertiary students and secondary school students, further strengthening the pipeline for future innovation talent development.
Knowledge Transfer Office, CUHK is honoured to contribute to this meaningful initiative, which nurtures young talents and encourages the translation of innovative engineering ideas into practical applications for the benefit of society.
