(Photo: Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association) The 2025 Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) was held from 3 to 6 December 2025 in Seoul, Korea. The invention fair is hosted by Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) and organized by Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA). SIIF is the largest invention exhibition in Korea, bringing together inventors, companies, and organizations to showcase and exchange innovative ideas and technologies.
This year, Mr. Wai Shing CHAN (MPhil student, Department of Surgery), Prof. Zheng LI (Professor, Department of Surgery), Mr. Yichong SUN (PhD student, Department of Surgery), Prof. Wai Yan Philip CHIU (Dean, Faculty of Medicine; Professor, Department of Surgery), Dr. Hon Chi YIP (Assistant Professor, Department of Surgery) and Mr. Duncan Alexander WONG (Undergraduate student in MBChB-GPS, Faculty of Medicine) received the Gold Prize for their groundbreaking invention titled "System and Method for Endoluminal Tissue Manipulation".
