In partnership with the King Yin Lei Heritage Foundation, KTO is pleased to invite CUHK academics and researchers to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) for Revitalization of King Yin Lei.

This initiative aims to transform the historic King Yin Lei (景賢里) site by developing innovative exhibition concepts that bridge youth nostalgia, traditional wisdom, and local community life.

Core Themes
The exhibition concepts should align with one of the following exhibition themes:

• Socio-Economic Heritage since the 1930s
• Traditional Chinese Medicine & Climate
• Pu'er Tea Culture
• Work-Life Balance & Wellbeing

Eligibility
Project leaders must be full-time CUHK staff holding professoriate or research academic ranks, though other teaching staff may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Requirements for Proposed Exhibition Ideas
Student involvement in the proposal is strongly encouraged, such as idea generation, content development, and exhibition production.

Please note that King Yin Lei is a historic monument subject to strict operational limits. Visitor capacity is limited to 30 people per floor, with a duration limit of 30 minutes (school tours) or 15 minutes (general public tours) per floor. Applicants proposing interactive elements must ensure their designs explicitly accommodate these visitor flow and duration constraints.

Submission Details & Reference Materials
Interested parties are invited to submit their proposed exhibition ideas along with a ballpark budget via the Online Application Form by 15 October 2026 (Thursday). Applicants who wish to consult with the King Yin Lei Heritage Foundation to refine their concepts before finalising are welcome to indicate their interest directly within the application form.

To assist with your proposal preparation, you may refer to the Briefing Session Presentation Deck, the General Information and Revitalization Use Plan of King Yin Lei (OnePass login required) at this link, and watch the Briefing Session Recording here.

We look forward to receiving your innovative ideas and co-creating a unique heritage experience at King Yin Lei!
