Looking to bring your research outcomes to the forefront of the Northern Metropolis development?

As Hong Kong accelerates the development of the Northern Metropolis into a major hub for technology, innovation, and sustainable living, translating academic knowledge into tangible urban solutions and community-focused developments is more vital than ever.

Co-hosted with Fullness Social Enterprises Society and Social Entrepreneurship School Education Program, the Northern Metropolis Exchange for Transformation (NEXT) 共建未來北都 is a collaborative platform designed to empower CUHK community to shape Hong Kong’s largest future development hub.

Through expert coaching and a dedicated pitch day (NEXT Day共建未來北都實驗室) in January 2027, NEXT incubates high-impact projects and fosters strategic partnerships across two core thematic areas: Wellbeing & Inclusion and Smart City & Sustainability.

Join us for the Information Session to explore how your knowledge can drive strategic solutions for the Northern Metropolis. Attendees will receive a comprehensive overview of the NEXT initiative, including its core focus areas, incubation roadmap, and pathway leading to the NEXT Day, while gaining valuable insights from guest speakers Ir Terry Chan, Executive Director, Transportation and Head of Natural Capital Taskforce at AECOM on the Northern Metropolis vision and Ms. Ranny Yau, Principal of TWGHs Kap Yan Directors' College, on local educational needs.
