Eligibility^#:

• The Person-In-Charge (PIC) must be a full-time staff member of CUHK holding a position within the professoriate or research academic ranks
• Startups or spin-offs that are founded or co-founded by CUHK’s staff members, presenting the use of CUHK’s IP or holding a license for CUHK’s IP
• The IP of innovations presented at this event must be owned/ co-owned by CUHK
• Priority will be given to HKSTP park companies (Including InnoHK)

Privileges to apply through KTO:

• Secure a place through KTO, CUHK¹
• All applications through KTO would be considered CUHK teams and consented to be used for University’s promotions in 2026/2027^2,3
• The booth fee and participation fee^* of selected CUHK teams will be supported by CUHK KTO while other expenses shall be borne by team itself

^*Participation Fee for selected CUHK teams

• Included 6 sq.m. booth, space rental, booth construction with basic facilities, stand utilies, obligatory media fee and activities arranged by CUHK KTO and/or main organizers.
• Excluded flights and accommodation, other expenses, including additional booth facilities, hiring temporary assistant/ interpreter, extra exhibitor pass, car park rental etc.

Important notes:

• NO FINANCIAL SUPPORT will be provided, except the participation fee and booth fee supported by CUHK KTO. Selected CUHK teams are encouraged to participate at their own expense
• Flight tickets and hotel accommodation for the exhibition will not be provided
• Project teams are required to maintain a physical presence at their designated booths throughout the duration of the event. The attendance records will be retained by the knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) and may serve as a reference for the screening and selection of teams in future KT events
• Additional works on poster development and event preparation may/will be needed prior to physical presentation in MEDICA 2026
• Final selection of teams will be subject to internal review by KTO and acceptance by the main organizer and/or corporate partners, which deemed appropriate
• All applications should be submitted to Knowledge Transfer Events Management Team, Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO). If no record of information submission is received, KTO reserves the final right to exclude the project from the CUHK pavilion and promotional activities
• Exhibitors are required to complete surveys related to the evaluation of the event and potential commercialization outcomes. (More details to be shared later)
