WHO can apply?
- The Person-In-Charge (PIC) must be full time staff member of CUHK holding a position within the professoriate or research academic ranks
- Start-ups or spin-offs or InnoHKs that are founded or co-founded by CUHK’s staff members, presenting the use of CUHK’s IP or holding a license for CUHK’s IP
- The IP of innovations presented at this event must be owned/ co-owned by CUHK^
- Eligible applicamt teams with a focus on technologies including but not limited to
1) Integrated Circuits/ Quantum Information
2)Modenrn Agriculture/ Food Technology
3) Software Information Service/ Technology Services
4) Intelligent Equipment/ New Energy Smart Vehicles
5) Key New Materials/ New Energy/ Energy Conversion & Environment
6) Biotechnology/ Health Services
7) High End Instrumentation Equipment & General Key Components
8) Medicine and Healthcare/ Medical Devices

Application Details

*Shortlisted teams may be invited for interview prior to KTO vetting and selection
Privileges to apply through KTO
- Secure a place through KTO, CUHK1
- All applications through KTO would be considered as CUHK teams and consented to be used for University’s promotions in 2026/2027 2,3
- Use of backdrop design to ensure consistency on CUHK promotional appearance

Important Note
- Booth fee and registration fee will be supported by CUHK KTO (Applicable for selected teams)
- Flight tickets and hotel accommodation during the exhibition period will be supported by CUHK KTO (Applicable for selected teams)
- Project teams are required to maintain a physical presence at their designated booths throughout the duration of the event. The attendance records will be retained by the knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) and may serve as a reference for the screening and selection of teams in future KT events
- Additional works on poster development and event preparation may/will be needed prior to physical presentation in HICOOL 2026
- Final selection of teams will be subject to internal review by KTO and acceptance by the main organizer and/or corporate partners, which deemed appropriate
- All applications should be submitted to Knowledge Transfer Events Management Team, Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO). If no record of information submission is received, KTO reserves the final right to exclude the project from the CUHK pavilion and promotional activities
