Mr. Shane Carlin, Founder, President, and CEO of Asian Student Achievement

Shane Carlin is the Founder, President, and CEO of Asian Student Achievement. A Korean American adoptee raised in northern Kentucky, Carlin earned his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications from the University of Kentucky in Lexington and a Master’s in Higher Education Administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

With more than 20 years of experience in higher education administration, Carlin has held roles in student affairs and fundraising at Northwestern University, Miami University, Capital University, and the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (UIUC), as well as with the American Red Cross and The Salvation Army. Alongside his professional career, he has mentored and coached students in both domestic and international settings.

Carlin is also a seasoned public speaker, delivering presentations at universities nationwide and across the globe. He has spoken at numerous regional and national student conferences, Fortune 500 companies, and was featured as a TEDx Lakeshore East speaker. His signature talks on soft skills and networking have made him a trusted voice among students, professionals, and organizational leaders alike.
