FoodMine is a sustainable food marketplace connecting supermarkets, bakeries and restaurants to consumers. Merchants can list their surplus food on our app platform, and customers can reserve the food, prepay it on our app, and self-pick up at the restaurant at a discounted price. We premised this idea on the discounted products available in retailers after 7pm, and hope to utilise our app platform to provide customers an option for these products. This promotes food sustainability, offers more consumer choices at a discounted price, and allows merchants to signal their commitment to CSR and sustainability. We incorporate the tech elements of having an app-based platform connecting merchants and users real-time, by locating the users and suggesting their nearest shop to visit. We also incorporate AI to predict and automate people’s food orders, learning from their preferences and behaviour to predict what they would like to eat. Moreover, we provide point of sales integration and inventory management for business operators.
